Yellow Dog/NCR Aloha Integration Overview
This document will provide an overview of the Yellow Dog NCR Aloha Integration
Integration Approach
This integration can be setup as a 1Way (Pull Sales) or a 2Way (Pull Sales & Push Items)
- Sales - Pulled from a file (GNDITM.dbf for 1Way and .csv file for a 2way)
- Codes - Pulled from a .csv file
- Items - Pushed to a .csv file
Requirements for Items to be pushed to NCR Aloha
- The item must have Publish enabled
- The item must not be POS Blocked - Publish and POS Blocked can be reviewed by using the Interfaces Codes as of last synced view.

- The item must have a retail price assigned in Retail1
- Item SKUs must be within the predetermined Aloha number range
- This number range will be determined at the time of implementation, and the Yellow Dog auto-number tool will be configured to ensure SKUs generate in the pre-determined range
Best Practices for Item Management
- For 1Way setups – recipes should be mapped in POS Item map
- For 2Way setups - if items need to be edited or updated, the edits/updates should be made in Yellow Dog and allowed to push to Aloha. Any edits made are made directly in Aloha, they will be overwritten the next time the sync runs
- Aloha Categories 1-5 & Aloha TaxID are not required for items to push to Aloha. NOTE: If they set, they will overwrite the presets in Aloha.
Limitations
- Aloha only supports single UPC or SKU per item
- Retail1 cannot be $0
- For 1Way integrations, sales files will be generated once a day after the ‘end of day’ process is initiated
