Par levels and reorder points help streamline purchasing in Yellow Dog.

  • Par level is the ideal quantity to keep on hand.
  • Reorder point is the minimum quantity that triggers reordering.

  

You can update par and reorder points in the following locations:
  1.   Item Editor – Stores Tab
  2.    Balto Import Tool
  3.   Par Worksheet

Use par and reorder points to simplify and automate purchasing decisions.


  • Food and beverage operations

  • Concessions


  
  1. Par levels must be equal to or greater than reorder points.
    1. Don’t set reorder points to 0.
  2. Par and reorder points can be set per store.
  3. When par and reorder points are assigned, you can add items to purchasing documents based on par levels.
    1. Items at or below the reorder point are included automatically.
    2. Quantities are calculated to bring inventory back to par.
  4. Assigned par and reorder points enable the Fill to Par feature in transfer and replenishment worksheets.
  5. Reorder reports help compare on-hand quantities to par and reorder point settings.

 
  1. Review par and reorder points regularly.
  2. Update values as needed to align inventory with sales demand
