Feature Overview: Par & Re-Order Points
Par levels and reorder points help streamline purchasing in
Yellow Dog.
You can update par and
reorder points in the following locations:
- Item Editor – Stores Tab
- Balto Import Tool
- Par Worksheet
Use par and reorder points to simplify and automate purchasing decisions.
- Par levels must be equal to or greater than reorder points.
- Don’t set reorder points to 0.
- Par and reorder points can be set per store.
- When par and reorder points are assigned, you can add items to purchasing documents based on par levels.
- Items at or below the reorder point are included automatically.
- Quantities are calculated to bring inventory back to par.
- Assigned par and reorder points enable the Fill to Par feature in transfer and replenishment worksheets.
- Reorder reports help compare on-hand quantities to par and reorder point settings.
- Review par and reorder points regularly.
- Update values as needed to align inventory with sales demand
