Yellow Dog/Silverware Integration Overview

This document will provide an overview of the Yellow Dog Silverware Integration 

Integration Approach 

This can be setup as a 2Way – Push items and Pull sales or a 1Way – Pull sales 
  1. Sales – Pulled from the Silverware API
  2. Codes – Pulled from the Silverware API
  3. Items – Pushed to a .csv file 

Requirements for items to push to Silverware

  1. Code A (Minor class) – must be assigned in interfaces 

Best practices for item management

  1. Any edits or updates that need to be made to items should be made in Yellow Dog and allowed to push over. Any updates made directly in Silverware will be overwritten the next time the Yellow Dog sync runs. 

Limitations

  1. Retail prices must be the same across all locations 
  2. Cost can be pushed to Silverware, but it will be an average across all locations 
  3. On hands can be pushed to Silverware, but it will be the sum total across all stores 
  4. Item description character limit – 50
  5. Short Description character limit – 20
  6. Barcode limit – 20 digits
