Yellow Dog/Toast Integration Overview

This document will provide an overview of the Yellow Dog Toast Integration

Integration Approach 

This is a 1Way Integration – Pull sales only 
  1. Sales – Pulled from the Toast API 
  2. Items – Can be matched on SKU

Item management best practices 

  1. Yellow Dog supports mapping or matching to have sales pull into Yellow Dog and have the related ingredients depleted  
    1. Recipes can be mapped to Toast items using POS Item Map 
    2. Items can match by placing the Yellow Dog SKU in the Toast SKU field 
    3. UPC1, UPC2, or UPC3 can be entered in the Toast SKU field. NOTE: For sales to match on UPC the “Allow Transaction Line Items to matched based on Item Alias’ must be checked.

Limitations 

  1. The integration will not pull in sales that are older than 30 days
  2. The integration will not pull in sales that are past the locations Close Out Date
  3. The integration only pulls closed orders, and the date the order is closed will be the transaction date i.e., if the transaction occurred on 04/18/25 and isn’t closed until 04/21/25 the transaction date will be 04/21/2025 in Yellow Dog 
  4.  The integration does not pull tax or tenders
