How To: Change the Yellow Dog Theme


Themes allow you to easily change the Yellow Dog font and background color. There are currently 3 themes available : Classic, Dark, and Yellow Dog.

All client types can use and update the theme of their Yellow Dog Inventory.





You will need administrator access on your computer to change your theme. If Yellow Dog is running from a shared folder, the theme will apply to all who access the folder to run Yellow Dog.


Complete these steps to update your Yellow Dog theme:

1. On the top task bar of Yellow Dog, click on themes to expand the themes drop down.

2. Click the theme you would like to use.

3. To apply theme now, select “Yes Restart Now”. If  “No I’ll Restart Later” is selected, you will need to completely close out of Yellow Dog and reopen for changes to take effect.
      *If running Yellow Dog from a shared folder the selected theme will apply to all users.


Figure 1: Themes is located on the top taskbar. After clicking the dropdown, you be able to view and select from the available options.
