Yellow Dog Sky Tab Venue Integration Overview

Yellow Dog Sky Tab Venue Integration Overview

This document will review the Yellow Dog Sky Tab Venue (Formerly Venue Next) Integration

Sync Approach

This integration can be setup as a 1Way – Pull Sales, or a 2Way – Pull Sales and Push Items

  1. Sales – Pulled from the Sky Tab Venue API
  2. Codes – Pulled from the Sky Tab Venue API
  3. Items – Pushed to the Sky Tab Venue API

Requirements for items to push to Sky Tab Venue

  1. The item must be active =Not Removed
  2. The item must have Publish enabled

  1. Retail1 must be set in the stores tab of the item editor
    1. The integration can be configured to allow $0, however Retail1 must have $0 entered, a blank retail will not be pushed
  2. Items must be available to at least one sales channel
    1. Items can be assigned within the Sales Channel Editor, or in the stores tab of the item editor

  1. Item must be available to the interfaces store

Best Practices for items management

  1. Items should be edited/updated in Yellow Dog, and updates allowed to push over. If items are updated in Sky Tab Venue, the updates will be overwritten the next time the sync runs

Limitations

  1. Item push cannot occur mid-event
  2. Matching on pre-existing items is not supported
    1. Pre-existing items can be mapped using POS Item map
  3. Pushing UPCs is not supported
  4. Only Retail1 is supported. Sky Tab Venue does not support multiple retail prices per item per the same sales channel
    1. It is recommended that items have the same Retail price across outlets, as Sky Tab will only accept the ‘Most Prevalent’ across outlets.
  5. On hands cannot be pushed
  6. Sales Channels are store specific
  7. Matrices are not supported
  8. Modifier Groups must be assigned to modifiers
    1. If Modifier Groups are assigned to non-modifiers they will not appear in POS Item Map
