Yellow Dog/Sky Tab by Shift4 Overview

This document will provide an overview of the Yellow Dog SkyTab by Shift4 integration 

Integration Approach 

This will be setup as a 1Way only - Pull Sales 
  1. Sales - Pulled from the Shift4 API 

Requirements for On-hands to deplete

  1. Items/ingredients must be available to the store where the transactions occurred 
  2. POS Item Map - Recipe must be mapped in POS Item Map in Yellow Dog 
    1. Insert Unsold Menu Items is support with this integration 
                                                     -  OR -
  1. Items sales match on SKU - The Yellow Dog SKU must be entered in the SKU field in SkyTab 
                                                      - OR -
  1. Items sales can match on UPC - the UPC must be entered in the UPC field in SkyTab 
    1. Matching on SKUs or UPCs will be determined during the implementation process 

Limitations 

  1. The check closed for transactions must be dated after the stores Closeout Date to be pulled into Yellow Dog
  2. Voids and Returns are not sent to Yellow Dog 
  3. When RevenueClasses are utilized Surcharges and Tenders are not pull in 
  4. Yellow Dog is not sent Tax Types so they will always be listed as 'Default'
