Feature Overview: Inventory Items Screen Right-Click Menu

WHY IT'S IMPORTANT

Right-clicking an item on the Item Management > Inventory Items screen opens a menu of quick actions for editing, organizing, and managing the selected item(s) — from item setup and store availability to purchase orders, POS syncing, and reporting. It's the fastest way to make a change without opening the item's full record.

REQUIREMENTS

Permissions

Which options are visible or enabled depends on the employee's assigned permissions, and some options only apply based on the selected item's current state.

HOW IT WORKS

Select one or more items on the grid, then right-click to open the menu. The options shown are scoped to what's selected — for example, some actions are unavailable for multiple items, or for items that don't meet a required condition (like a zero on-hand quantity).

KEY FEATURES

The table below covers every option on the right-click menu, grouped the way they appear on the menu itself.

Create, Edit & Remove Items

MENU OPTION	WHAT IT DOES
Create New Item	Opens a new, blank item for setup.
Edit Item	Opens the selected item for editing.
Remove Item	Removes the selected item. Only available for items with a zero on-hand quantity.

Caution: Removing an item is permanent. It's only available when the item's on-hand quantity is zero.

Requests & Purchase Orders

MENU OPTION	WHAT IT DOES
Create Request	Creates a purchase request based on the selected item(s).
Create Purchase Order	Creates a purchase order based on the selected item(s).

Item Setup

MENU OPTION	WHAT IT DOES
Set Level	Moves the selected item(s) to a new level.
Set Dimensions	Opens the dimensions submenu (e.g., Size, Origin, Region, Varietal, Vintage, Points, Allergens, UPC Code, Wine Book). Dimensions are user-created and will vary by client.
Add Vendor	Adds a vendor to the selected item(s).
Add Stores	Makes the selected item(s) available to one or more stores.

RFID

MENU OPTION	WHAT IT DOES
Set RFID Tag Generation On	Enables RFID tag generation for the selected item(s).

Status & Purchasing Flags

MENU OPTION	WHAT IT DOES
Set Evergreen Status	Assigns Evergreen status to items that don't age, so they can be filtered out of aging reports.
Set Purchase Order Minimum Quantity	Sets a minimum quantity for purchase orders for the selected item(s).
Set Chargeable Flag	Marks the selected item(s) as chargeable for the Concessions workflow.

Active / Inactive

MENU OPTION	WHAT IT DOES
Set Inactive	Marks the selected item(s) as inactive.
Set Active	Marks the selected item(s) as active.

Interfaces & Web

MENU OPTION	WHAT IT DOES
Set Interface Code	Opens the interface code submenu (Inventory Account, Zero Account, COGS, Publish) to set interface codes on the selected item(s).
Set Web Items Properties	Sets web item properties. Used only for clients with web carts.

Relationships & Recipes

MENU OPTION	WHAT IT DOES
Merge Items	Combines two items into one. Note: This action cannot be undone and should be used with caution
Set Parent/Child Relationship	Sets a parent/child relationship between items.
Break Parent/Child Relationship	Removes an existing parent/child relationship between items.
Set as Recipe Ingredient	Sets the selected item(s) as a recipe ingredient.
Make all ingredients available	Makes the recipe items related ingredients available to the selected store

POS & Labels

MENU OPTION	WHAT IT DOES
Trigger Items to Re-Sync to POS	Re-syncs the selected item(s) to POS.
Add Item(s) to Label Queue	Adds the selected item(s) to the label queue for printing later.

Item Actions & Reporting

MENU OPTION	WHAT IT DOES
Print Labels	Prints labels for the selected item(s).
Adjust On Hand Quantity	Creates a manual adjustment to the on-hand quantity of the selected item(s).
Create new Item based on selected	Creates a new item using the selected item as a template.
Item History Report	Runs the Item History Report for the selected item.
Edit Base Unit	Opens the item's base unit for editing if the item has had no on hand or cost adjustments
Make Items Unavailable to Store	Removes a store's availability from the selected item(s).
Create New Item List	Creates a new item list from the selected items.
