Quick Reference: Inventory Items Screen Filters

  1. Views Views in Yellow Dog Inventory provide unique perspectives on your inventory items, helping you find the right information and make informed decisions.

  2. Delay Data Fetch until a Search String is Entered: Check this box to prevent data from being displayed until search criteria is entered. This feature reduces wait times by loading data only upon search initiation.

  3. Store: Choose from the dropdown box to view inventory for a specific store.
    Note: Without a specific store being selected, the system will display combined on-hand quantities for all stores in the database.

  4. Vendor or Manufacturer: Narrows down items by a specific vendor or manufacturer.

  5. Levels: Filters items belonging to a specific level(s). Hold CTRL to click and select multiple levels.

  6. Search: Type in your search criteria for immediate results. The search box supports “and/or” searches to include multiple terms. You can also use a pipe "|" to look up exact matches.

  7. Other: Options to hide specific item types:
    1. Hide Parent Items – Displays only child items. If an item does not have a child item, the parent item will be displayed.
    2. Hide Child Items – Shows only parent items. Retail typically does not use parent\child setup.
    3. Hide No Count Items – Removes any items configured as No Count Items from the inventory list.
    4. Show only Purchasing Sizes – Only displays items marked as purchasable.
    5. Show only Transfer Sizes – Only shows items set as transferable.








  1. Include Inactive\Removed: Adds removed or inactive items to the inventory item list. Removed and inactive items are clearly marked as (Removed) or (Inactive) in the item description for easy identification.
