Reporting Explained: Inventory/History/Vendor Price/By Week

Business need: This report is helpful for users who want to review the vendor price paid for their items over a period in weekly increments.

How it Works: This report will show how much was paid for items week over week. The report will include which vendor the item was brought in from, the minimum that was paid, the max that was paid, the Delta value, and ending on hand.

Generating the Report:



Go to the Standard Reports section in Yellow Dog:

      1.     Select Standard Reports

      2..     Select the Inventory Folder

      3.     Within the Inventory Folder select the History Folder

      4.     Within the History Folder select Vendor Price

      5.     Select By Week

      6.     Select a date range and filters 

Reading the Report



Column Breakdown:

1.     The top of the report will display the filter options that were selected for the report and will be included if the report is exported or printed.

2.     Change Columns, Sorting, and Grouping – will be where users can add or remove columns from the report as well as organize and group data.

3.     Store Name – will be the store the vendor price is being tacked for.

4.     Level – will be the level path the item is in

5.     Vendor – will be the vendor the price is being tacked for.

6.     SKU – will be the Yellow Dog SKU assigned to the item

7.     Item – will be the item description

8.     Date Columns – there will be a column for every week the report was generated for.

9.     Variance – if there were changes to the item’s vendor price, the difference between the prices will be listed here

10.  Minimum – will be the minimum price paid for the item over the selected period

11.  Maximum – will be the maximum price paid for the item over the selected period

12.  Ending on Hand – will be the on quantity for the item as of the end date and time

13.  Extended Variance – will be the variance times how much of the item is on hand.

14.  Print/Save/Export – will be where users can print their report, export to excel/csv, or save as a template.
