Reporting Explained: Inventory History Calculated Cost by Day
Business Need: This report is helpful for users who want a report to show the calculated costs for items over a period.
How it Works: An Inventory>History>Calculated Cost>By Day report shows items calculated costs over a selected period. This report can be filtered by store, levels, or vendors as well.
Generating the Report:
Go to the Standard Reports section in Yellow Dog:
- Select Standard Reports
- Open the folder titled ‘Inventory’
- Open the folder titled ‘History’
- Select ‘Calculated Cost’
- Select “By Day’
- Select the date range that you would like to run the report for and choose any filters that you would like to add
- Generate report
Reading the Report:
- Shows the filters used to produce the report’s data, including the date selected for the report.
- Change columns, sorting, and grouping: This allows users to add or remove data columns to this report as well as organize and group the data.
- Store Name: Shows the store that the item is assigned to for this data row.
- Level: Shows the level that the item is assigned to.
- Vendor: Shows the vendor assigned to the item.
- SKU: Shows the SKU for the item.
- Item: Shows the item description for the selected line.
- Dated Columns: Shows the calculated cost as of each date selected to generate in this report.
- Variance: Shows the variance in calculated cost for items between the start and end of the selected date range.
- Minimum: Shows the minimum calculated cost for the selected date range.
- Maximum: Shows the maximum calculated cost for the selected date range.
- Delta: Shows the difference between the maximum and minimum calculated cost for the item during the selected date range.
- Ending on hand: Shows the on hand for the item as of the selected end date of the report.
- Extended Variance: Shows the variance for items extended and totaled by each date selected
- This row allows you to save, export, print, or close the current report.
