Quick Reference: Worksheets



Worksheets streamline purchasing and other critical inventory management tasks by reducing manual entry, improving planning accuracy, and supporting scalability as your company grows.

Tip: Take time to review the worksheets available in Yellow Dog Inventory and identify if your company may benefit from using one or more of these worksheets in your purchasing flow.

There are six worksheet available in Yellow Dog Inventory:
  1. Replenishment (PAR) Worksheet: Uses PAR levels (target on-hand amounts) to generate suggested orders or transfers.
    ✅ Ensures each store or outlet always has the right amount of stock on hand, minimizing shortages or overstocks. 

  2. Replenishment (Sales) Worksheet: Uses sales data to generate suggested orders or transfers.
    ✅Ideal for demand-based ordering—when sales of certain items spike, the worksheet helps you respond quickly to trends.

  3. Purchase Order Worksheet: Creates purchase orders by vendor for multiple stores,
    ✅Streamlines buying, reduces errors, and ensures procurement stays consistent and efficient.

  4. Transfer Worksheet: Handles inventory transfers between stores, outlets, or warehouses.
    ✅ Essential for multi-location businesses that need to balance stock levels or move goods where they’re needed most.

  5. Order Desk Worksheet: Consolidates multiple requests into one centralized worksheet, often used to compare vendor bids and generate purchase orders.
    ✅Saves time, ensures competitive pricing, and makes order management much simpler when dealing with large volumes or multiple suppliers.

  6. Production Worksheet: Streamlines prep work by turning recipes into actionable prep lists.
