Q: What is Smart Maths in Replenishment Worksheets?

A: When you're using a replenishment worksheet and the warehouse does not have enough stock to fulfill all the requests from replenishment stores, Smart Math helps determine how to distribute the available inventory in a fair and strategic way.

It calculates the sales percentage for each store over a specified time range and uses one of two algorithms:

  1. Ranked:
    1. Stores are prioritized in order of sales performance.
    2. The highest-selling store receives its full requested quantity first, followed by the next highest, and so on—until the warehouse runs out of stock.

  2. Proportional:
    1. Inventory is split proportionately among stores based on their percentage of total sales.
    2. All stores receive a share of the product, but not necessarily their full requested quantity.
