Feature Overview: Uploading Locally Stored Sessions

This document will demonstrate creating, uploading, and removing locally stored sessions from the CountXL application.

        1.     Navigate to the Count XL application on your device, tap to launch and enter your Yellow Dog Client ID, username, and password to login

         2.     Enter a session name, and if your organization has multiple locations, select a location from the Store dropdown

3.  Begin taking your counts. Users can use the blue buttons on the side of the EA602, or EA630 to engage the Scanner, or they can use the search icon to manually search for items.

4.  Once counts are complete select the cloud with the up arrow in the top right to finalize your session.

5. A pop up will appear with the option to confirm you are Finalizing or to Cancel. Finalizing will send the session to Yellow Dog and remove it from the device

6.  If you have lost internet connection while attempting to Finalize your session, you will get a popup that states that the Session has been stored locally, due to a Network issue.  Select OK to close the popup

7.  After selecting OK to close the alert you will be taken back the main screen. At the bottom users will note a box that says Locally Stored Sessions and a number indicating how many locally stored sessions are on the device. Note: Users can choose to create additional sessions for the same location even while Wi-Fi is inaccessible. Users will not be able to create sessions for different locations while Wi-Fi is inaccessible because the application will not be able to download items.

8.  Once Wi-Fi is accessible again and users are ready to send sessions to Yellow Dog, they will have the option to Upload All, or upload sessions individually.
      a.     To upload all, tap the box that says locally stored sessions. Users will see a list of the sessions stored locally, including the name of the session, the store the session was created for, the number of items counted, and when the session was created

                     b. Select Upload All to send the locally stored sessions to Yellow Dog and confirm by selecting Let’s Go!

                  c.  As the sessions are uploading you will see them disappear from the Local Sessions screen. Once complete, you will be taken back the main screen, and you’ll note the Locally Stored Sessions box now says 0

      d. To upload individually, tap on the session in question. This will open the session editor

            e. From within the session editor select the cloud icon with the up arrow to finalize the session and send it to Yellow Dog

            f. A pop up will appear with the option to confirm you are Finalizing or to Cancel

            g. The next screen will confirm the Upload was successful. Select OK, to be taken back the main screen. Here you will be able to tap the Locally Stored Sessions box again, to upload or delete any remaining sessions.
