Yellow Dog/Gateway Integration Overview
This document will review the
Yellow Dog Gateway (formerly Galaxy) Integration
Sync Approach
This will be setup as a 2Way – Pull Sales & Push Items
- Sales – Pulled from the FTP
- Codes – Manually added to Yellow Dog. Click Here for steps
- Items – Pushed to a .csv file
Requirements for items to push to Gateway
- The item must have a SKU
- The Item must have a Description
- The item must have Retail1 set
- The item must have Publish enabled
- The item must not be POS Blocked – Publish and POS Blocked can both be checked in the Interface Codes as of Last Sync View
- The item cannot have a status of Removed
- The item must have Generic Levels A-C and Generic Code D & E assigned
- Level A – Company
- Level B – Discount Group
- Level C – Taxed
- Code D – Comps
- Code E – Fkey Flag

Item Management Best Practices
- Updates/Edits to items should be made in Yellow Dog and allowed to push to Gateway. Updates/Edits made in Gateway will be overwritten that next the sync runs.
Limitations
- SKU Length maximum is 20 characters
