Yellow Dog/Gateway Integration Overview

This document will review the Yellow Dog Gateway (formerly Galaxy) Integration  

Sync Approach  

This will be setup as a 2Way – Pull Sales & Push Items  
  1. Sales – Pulled from the FTP 
  2. Codes – Manually added to Yellow Dog. Click Here for steps 
  3. Items – Pushed to a .csv file  

Requirements for items to push to Gateway   

  1. The item must have a SKU 
  2. The Item must have a Description 
  3. The item must have Retail1 set  
         

  1. The item must have Publish enabled  
        

  1. The item must not be POS Blocked – Publish and POS Blocked can both be checked in the Interface Codes as of Last Sync View  
         
  1. The item cannot have a status of Removed  
  1. The item must have Generic Levels A-C and Generic Code D & E assigned
    1. Level A – Company
    2. Level B – Discount Group
    3. Level C – Taxed
    4. Code D – Comps
    5. Code E – Fkey Flag  

       


Item Management Best Practices  

  1. Updates/Edits to items should be made in Yellow Dog and allowed to push to Gateway. Updates/Edits made in Gateway will be overwritten that next the sync runs.  

Limitations  

  1. SKU Length maximum is 20 characters
