Yellow Dog/Freepour Integration Overview
This document will provide an overview of the Yellow Dog Freepour Integration
Integration Approach
This is a 1Way Integration – Sessions are pushed to Yellow Dog with counted quantities
- Sent from the Freepour API
- This integration is controlled by Freepour
Requirements for Sessions to be imported into Yellow Dog
- Items included in the session export must have a status of Active in Yellow Dog
- Yellow Dog SKU must be entered into the POSID field in Freepour
- UPCs can also be used, but SKU is recommended
Best Practices
- Exports are manually initiated by the client from within Freepour
- When entering Yellow Dog SKUs/UPCs into the POSID field in Freepour include all digits, even leading 0s if they exist
- After a session has been exported from Freepour, it should be imported into Yellow Dog by selecting the ‘Import 3rd Party Session’ button
Limitations
- If an items UPC changes, or the same product comes in different sizes, a new item is created in Freepour and mapped to the same POSID
- If an item is on a session that is sent to Yellow Dog, but does not exist in Yellow Dog, the session will not be able to be imported into Yellow Dog.
- The item will need to be created in Yellow Dog, and the correct SKU/UPC entered in the POSID field in Freepour.
- The session can then be re-exported to Yellow Dog
- If exports are needed for multiple locations, users will need to export them from Freepour once at a time. NOTE: They cannot be bulk exported
