Troubleshooting: Event Was Not Marked as an EOM Event

Troubleshooting: Event Was Not Marked as an EOM Event

Concessions user  ·  Yellow Dog Inventory 2026

 WHY IT'S IMPORTANT

Your End-of-Month (EOM) process depends on the EOM event being configured correctly, with Stand EOM set and the right EOM profile selected. If an event was started without being marked as an EOM event, it will not feed the EOM close as expected. This article explains how to correct an event that was started without the EOM Event setting.

 ISSUE

An event was started, but it was not marked as an EOM event.

 CAUSE

The EOM Event box was not checked before the event was started in Yellow Dog.

 TROUBLESHOOTING

If you have permission to use Undo Event Start, you can undo the start, configure the event as an EOM event, and restart it. Undo the start, set the EOM options, then start the event again.

Undo the event start and set EOM

1.  In Yellow Dog, go to Events.

2.  Find the event and double-click it to open the Event Editor.

3.  Select Undo Event Start.

4.  Check the End of Month box, then select the Stand EOM.

5.  Select Start Event to start the event again.

If Undo Event Start is greyed out

The Undo Event Start option is unavailable for any of these reasons:

You do not have permission to use Undo Event Start.

The stand reconciliations have a status other than Initialized, meaning they have been counted in or the reconciliation process has started.

The event’s End time has passed.

 VERIFICATION STEPS

1.  Open the event in the Event Editor.

2.  Confirm the End of Month box is checked and the Stand EOM is set.

 WHEN TO CONTACT SUPPORT

Contact Yellow Dog Support if Undo Event Start is greyed out and you cannot determine why, or if you have the permission and the reconciliations are still Initialized but the option remains unavailable.
