Troubleshooting: Lost PIN Number on EA520 Handheld
A PIN number is required for logging into a Unitech Handheld and the PIN number is either lost or forgotten.
- Turn off the device.
- Long press the power button and volume up button simultaneously to enter the Bootloader Menu.
- Press the volume down button to select [Recovery Mode].
- When the Android Robot is displayed, long press the power button then quickly press the volume up button.
- Press the volume down button until Wipe data/factory reset is highlighted then press the power button to select this option.
- Press the volume down button to highlight Factory data reset then press the power button to select this option.
- Press the power button to select Reboot system now.
You can determine that the troubleshooting resolved the issue when the device turns back on and the the set up processes begins. View the Handheld New User Guide for set up instructions.
NOTE: If the troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue and the device is still asking for a pin after the reset, this indicates that the pin was connected with Google and the device will need to be sent back to Unitech for a board replacement.
