Troubleshooting: ISBN-13 Barcodes not Scanning on EA520 Handheld

ISBN-13 (book) barcodes are not scanning on EA520 Handheld.

Symbology settings on handheld are not set to read ISBN-13 barcodes.

To configure a handheld to read ISBN-13 barcodes, follow these steps:
  1. Swipe down from the top, and press USS ScanService.
    If the USS ScanService does not display, go to  Settings >  USS to launch.

  2. Press the  ellipsis  at the top right corner.

  3. Tap Symbology Settings.

  4. Press Bookland EAN.

  5. Tap Bookland ISBN Format.

  6. Select the option Bookland ISBN-13.

       

  1. Confirm the ISBN-13 UPC code is assigned to the item in Yellow Dog Inventory.

  2. Scan the ISBN-13 barcode in Yellow Dog mobile application you were using and verify that the item is found.

  3. If the item is not pulled into the session, try closing and reopening the app and scanning again.
