Tip & Tricks: Switching a TLP 2824plus Printer from Thermal Transfer to Direct Thermal


This document will review configuring a TLP 2824 Plus printer from Thermal Transfer to Direct Thermal

 

      1.       Click on the Windows Start Menu in the bottom right corner of your screen and start typing Control Panel. Click on the icon when you see the application appear under Best Match



      2. When the Control Panel opens click on Devices & Printers, or type Devices & Printers in the search bar.


      3. On the next screen navigate to printers - Right Click on the TLP 2824 plus, and select Printing Preferences


4. From within Printing Preferences select the Advanced Setup tab, check Thermal Direct under Media Type, and OK to save the changes


Note: If the printer was being used as Thermal Transfer the ribbon will need to be removed before printing with Direct Thermal labels
