 WHY IT'S IMPORTANT

Logging into Yellow Dog Inventory with your own credentials gives you access to the inventory tools you need while keeping the system secure. Because activity is tied to your Employee Number, signing in under your own login ensures changes are tracked accurately and that you see the menus and permissions assigned to your role.

Your assigned Employee Number and Password

 STEP BY STEP

1.   Double-click the Yellow Dog Inventory icon on your desktop.

2.   In the Enter Employee Number / Password window, type your Employee Number in the Employee Number field.

3.   Enter your Password in the Password field.

4.   Select OK to open Yellow Dog Inventory.

Note: If the Employee Number and Password combination is not recognized, a message appears stating the combination could not be found. Select Try Again to re-enter your credentials, or select Forgot Password to reset your password. The Forgot Password option only works if Password Recovery has been set up in advance. If it has not, an administrator must reset your password — the Yellow Dog Support Team cannot reset passwords.

Note: If you access Yellow Dog Inventory on a Mac or through a web browser, you first connect to the hosted environment using your Remote Access username and password. These are separate from the Employee Number and Password used above. Once you reach the Employee Number / Password window, sign in using the steps on this page.
