Feature Overview: Print Templates
Print templates let you customize documents and labels generated in Yellow Dog, including purchasing documents, item lists, count sheets, stand sheets, pick lists, and item labels. You can add details such as company logos, billing and shipping addresses, retail prices, and size and color information.
Go to System Setup > Print Templates.
Note: Access to System Setup is controlled by user permissions.Use print templates when printing:
Purchasing documents
Item lists
Sessions, count sheets, and pick lists
Item labels and shelf tags
Default templates can’t be edited. To update a default template, create a copy using Create New Based On.
Create a new print template

Go to System Setup > Print Templates.

Select Create New Print Template.

Select a Type to organize the template.

Enter a Description.
(Optional) Resize the page:
(Optional) Remove headers or footers:
Add fields:
Edit a default print template

In Print Templates, select the default template.

Select Create New Based On.
-
Rename the copied template to make it easy to identify.

Add, remove, or update fields as needed.
Field types
You can insert these field types:

Data Field: Displays item or document data (for example, SKU, price, or description).

Expression: Calculates values at print time (commonly used for purchasing documents).

Text: Adds static text.

Picture: Inserts an image (such as a logo).
You can format fields using:

Font: Typeface, size, bold, italic, underline

Format: Change how values display (for example, barcode, dates, or numbers)

Alignment: Choose from nine alignment options

Border: Add a partial or full border (thin or thick)

White on black: White text on a black background
-
Vertical text: Rotates text 90° clockwise
Move and resize fields
Additional features

Preview shows changes before you save.

To change the default number of copies, right-click the Page Size area.

To change the unit of measure (inches vs. meters), select the Page Size area.

To update sorting, right-click the Group Header.

To add a blank write-in box, insert a Text field and leave it empty.

You can include billing and shipping addresses on documents.
