What is the Re-Assign Sales feature and how do I configure it?
Re-Assign Sales - similar to Auto Transfer gives users
the ability to have sales from one location, moved to appear under a secondary location.
An example use case of this could be a primary location with a satellite kiosk location.
While the kiosk may have its own register(s), in Yellow Dog users may wish to
have all of these sales fall under the primary location. When this feature is enabled,
the sales will be pulled into Yellow Dog at the time the sync runs and will be
reassigned to the determined store overnight when our maintenance application runs.
Users who take advantage of the POS Only>All Sales captured reports will
note that sales will not appear as reassigned in those reports because they
reflect sales exactly as they happened in the point of sale however, they will
appear as re-assigned in all other sales reporting. Re-Assign Sales can be set an entire Store,
Level, or individual Items.
As a note- This feature is typically configured
during the implementation process and only the Yellow Dog System User can set
or make updates to the configuration. This is to ensure that users have it
configured correctly and are aware of the ramifications of using this feature
because enabling it makes such a significant database change. Click Here to submit a ticket to support and request to have Auto Zero enabled.
