Feature Overview: Re-Assign Sales

Feature Overview: Re-Assign Sales

Reassign Sales lets you report sales under a different outlet than where the transaction originally occurred.

Configure this setting in Interface settings.

You can assign Reassign Sales at the level, store, or item level. Yellow Dog recommends configuring it at the level to reduce ongoing maintenance.

Use Reassign Sales whenever sales need to be reported under a different outlet than the selling location.

All client types can use Reassign Sales.

  1. Only users on Yellow Dog 377 or later with the correct permissions can configure this feature.
  1. Users on Yellow Dog 376 or earlier must contact Yellow Dog Support for assistance.
  1. Sales are initially recorded in the selling store.
    1. During overnight Yellow Dog Maintenance, sales are reassigned to the selected outlet.
  1. All Sales Captured reports always show sales in the original selling location.
  1. Sales by Day, Sales by Item, and On Hand reports show sales under the reassigned outlet after maintenance runs.

  1. Set up Reassign Sales at the level. This ensures all items assigned to that level inherit the setting without requiring item-level configuration.
