Feature Overview: Client ID
What is a Client ID?
The Client ID is a unique identifier assigned to each Yellow Dog Inventory system.
Who is it for?
The Client ID will be used by any user that will access a Yellow Dog mobile or web app.
What is it used for?
A Client ID is required when:
- Logging into Yellow Dog Mobile apps (YD Mobile, Count XL or Stand Dog).
- Logging into Web apps like Bloodhound.
Your Client ID is also helpful to supply when contacting support as it helps our team quickly locate your environment when resolving issues.
Where to Find It
You can locate your Client ID on the right side of the bottom task bar.
Figure 1. The Client ID for your Yellow Dog Inventory is found on the bottom task bar. Each system will have a unique client ID used for logging into mobile and web apps.
Best Practices
- Distribute your Client ID to all employees using mobile or web apps and ensure they know where to find it.
- Include your Client ID in any communications with Yellow Dog Support to help expedite assistance.
