Quick Reference: Other Details Tab


The Other Details tab of the Item Editor contain additional inventory options and behaviors that enhance reporting, general use, and item management.

Other Details Section

Contain item status options:
  1. This item is active: On by default. Unchecking inactivates the item. Items can only be inactivated if their on-hand is zero.
  2. Approved Item:  Off by default. Approved items cannot be edited unless the user has permission to do so.
  3. No Count: Off by default. Items with this setting never hold an on-hand and will not be counted in Physical Inventories.
  4. Evergreen: Off by default. Items that do not age and will not display in aging reports.

Manual Adjustments Sections

Contains options related to manual adjustment behaviors:
  1. This item can be added into the Manual Adjustment Editor: On by default.
  2. This item's on hand can be changed in the Manual Adjustment Editor: On by default.

Purchasing Section

Contains behaviors related to purchasing:
  1. This item can be looked up and added to POs, Receipts, Invoices and Return to Vendors: On by default.
  2. Block this item from being used in Transfers: Off by default.
  3. Print labels when receiving: On by default.
  4. If checked, this item can be purchased in fractional quantities:  Off by default. Allows quantities to be pulled into Purchase Orders fractionally when using the add items based on par option.

Physical Inventories Section

Contains options related to Physical Inventory:
  1. This item can be added into the Physical Inventory Editor: On by default.
  2. This item's on hand will be set by the Physical Inventory Editor: On by default.

POS Sales/ Return Section

This item's on hand is directly affected by POS sales/return: On by default. This option is typically disabled for service items. 

Shipping Dimensions & Weight

These fields can be added to labels or pushed to web cart integration like Shopify:
  1. Weight: Numerical field not tied to any unit of measure.
  2. Height: Numerical field not tied to any unit of measure.
