Quick Reference: Distribution Methods for Invoice Expense Accounts




Selecting the correct distribution method for invoice expenses ensures item costs update accurately.


Invoice expenses appear at the bottom of each invoice.

Expense Distribution Methods
Do Not Distribute
Does not apply the expense to invoice items. The expense remains separate.
Use this option for costs such as tariffs.
By Vendor Price: All Items
Distributes the expense based on vendor price. Higher-priced items receive a larger share of the expense.
By Quantity: All Items
Distributes the expense based on received quantity. Items with higher quantities receive a larger share.
By Vendor Price: Selected Categories
Distributes the expense by vendor price, but only for the selected Yellow Dog levels.
By Quantity: Selected Categories
Distributes the expense by quantity, but only for the selected Yellow Dog levels.
