How To: Use Printed Count Sheets




Manual Count Sheets provide a traditional paper-based method for recording inventory counts. Count sheets are created in Yellow Dog Inventory and printed for use during physical counts, allowing teams to record quantities by hand and later enter results into the system. 

Count Sheet have been created and reviewed.

Step 1: Sort and Print Count Sheets

1.    Sort the Count Sheet as needed.

2.    Go to Physical Inventory > Count Sheets.

3.    Select the Count Sheet or sheets you want to print.

4.    Click Print Count Sheet(s).

5.    Distribute the printed Count Sheets to employees for counting.

Step 2: Create a Session for the Count Sheet

1.    Go to Physical Inventory > Count Sheets.

2.    Select the Count Sheet or sheets you printed.

3.    Click Create Sessions.

4.    When prompted, click Yes Create Them to generate the sessions.

Step 3: Enter Counts

1.    Go to Physical Inventory > Sessions.

2.    Open the session that corresponds to the Count Sheet.

3.    Enter the quantities exactly as written on the printed Count Sheet.

4.    Verify that every item line has a quantity entered.

5.    Save the session.
