How To: Update the Default Name of Levels


This default naming structure of levels can be update to terminology that makes the most sense for your organization.

The default naming structure for levels is:
I Dept
II Sub-Dept
III Cat
IV Sub-Cat

All client types



An admin user with access to System Setup can update the default naming structure of levels by following these steps:
  1. Navigate to System Setup > Options > Labels.

  2. Under the Levels sections, type in the available fields to rename any level. 
    Any changes will be automatically saved.


Figure 1. Changes to the default name of levels can be completed under System Setup > Options > Labels. This area also allows you to rename various other descriptors in Yellow Dog Inventory.
