How To: Create a New Vendor Product


The same product may be purchased in different sizes and/or from different vendors. Though these products have different Vendor Part Numbers (Vendor PNs), they will need to be associated to one Yellow Dog item to ensure proper inventory item management.



 
What is the Vendor Products Tab?
The Vendor Products Tab of the Item Editor allows users to manage items received from vendors (Vendor Products). On the Vendor Products Tab, Vendor Products assigned to the Yellow Dog Item are grouped by size starting with the largest at top (most likely to purchase), and smallest units at the bottom.


How to add Vendor Products to a Yellow Dog Inventory Item

1. Highlight an item and select Edit Item on the Item Management > Inventory Item screen.

2. Click on the Vendor Products tab.

3. Select Create New Vendor Product.

4. Choose the item size from the Item Size dropdown.

5. Select the vendor from the Vendor or Manufacturer dropdown.

6. Enter the Vendor Part Number in the Vendor PN field.

7. Click OK
