How To: Add UPCs to Items with YD Mobile During Physical Inventory Counting





If a barcode scan does not return an item, you must add the UPC to ensure accurate counts and smooth future physical inventories. You can add UPCs in the main Yellow Dog client or directly in the YDMobile app.


  1. YDMobile installed on your handheld device

  2. A Yellow Dog user account with Mobile Apps access

 



Add a Missing UPC in YDMobile
  1. If you discover a missing UPC while using CountXL, minimize CountXL.
    Do not close or log out of the app.

  2. Open YDMobile and sign in.

  3. Select UPC Check.

  4. Scan the UPC.

  5. Tap Lookup Item and Assign.           

  6. Search for the item.

  7. Select the checkbox next to the correct item.

  8. Tap Add Selected Items.

 Refresh CountXL

  1. Return to CountXL.

  2. Tap the Settings icon in the lower-right corner.

  3. Select Redownload Items.

  4. Navigate back to your session.

    1. The item is now scannable.
