Manual Adjustment are used to increase or decrease on-hands outside of normal inventory adjustments (sales, purchasing, physicals) this include reasons such as waste, donation, or spoilage.
Always make the quantity negative if reducing/wasting inventory.
You should rarely ever need to create a positive adjustment. Increasing of inventory is done through purchasing.
