Troubleshooting: Client ID or Secret not correctly set error when uploading images
You receive the error “Client ID or Secret not correctly set” when saving images to an item or recipe.

This error occurs when Yellow Dog Inventory cannot access the Yellow Dog API.
Common causes:

The system is locally hosted (no API access).
- API access is available, but setup is incorrect
Confirm hosting type
Determine whether your system is locally hosted or cloud-hosted.

Locally hosted systems do not support API access

Cloud-hosted systems (hosted by Yellow Dog) support API access
Contact your internal IT team if you are unsure.

Save an image to an item or recipe.
Confirm the image uploads without error.
