How To: Schedule Reports to Automatically Email

Configuring reports to automatically email from Yellow Dog Inventory ensures you receive timely insights without having to log in or run reports manually. This saves time, keeps you informed, and helps you act quickly on up-to-date inventory data.

All client types can configure emails to automatically send.


To schedule a report to automatically email:
  1. Under Reports > Send Save Reports click to highlight the report and select Edit Send Saved Report

  2. Enter the email address(es) in the Recipient Email Addresses field. 
    Separate multiple email addresses with a semicolon or comma. Do not leave spaces between the email addresses.

  3. Select the day(s) of the week that the report will be emailed.

  4. Select the time of day that the report will be generated. 
    Reports will be generated at this time and emailed on a predetermined time decided on during implementation. 

  5. Click OK

Tip: Best practice is to set up saved reports that are generated for a time period vs a specific date or date range.
