Introduction to Saved Reports
We’ve streamlined reporting for Food & Beverage operations by pre-saving essential reports. To find them, select Reports in the left navigation, then Saved Reports. This manual gives an overview of each saved report, with its purpose, date range, and frequency, plus a screenshot of the report options, the applied columns, and the report name and path.
The path (for example, Troubleshooting \ Advisor) shows how to run the report from Reports > Standard Reports. If your Yellow Dog Inventory version predates the release that includes these pre-saved reports, follow the report path to run and then save the report.
Running Saved Reports
To run a report, highlight it and select Execute Saved Report. Each report has a unique number, a three-character category code, and a name. Enter a report number in the search bar to find it quickly.
Modifying Reports
To adjust parameters before running a report, use the filters on the right side of the screen. After running a report, select the change, grouping and sorting link at the top right to open the Report Columns dialog, where you can change sorting and add or remove columns.
Saving Modified Reports
To keep your changes, select Save Report Template at the bottom right of the report. You can overwrite the existing report or save a new one. When saving a new version, reuse the same title and append a letter to the report number (for example, 202a – ALR – Check Negative On-Hand). This groups related reports together and keeps them easy to find.
PRE — Pre-Event Reports
All the reports with the abbreviation PRE (Pre-Event) are the reports to run before you start your next event. Recommended you run these the day before your event to allow time for investigation and correction.
Purpose: Shows items with negative on-hand. These MUST be resolved before your next event (No exceptions).

Purpose: The report shows all POS Item that have NOT be assigned to a recipe. Fix immediately and before the next event.

Purpose: The report shows all stands that are NOT reconciled. Commit all open before starting your next event.

PST — Post Event
All the reports with the abbreviation PST (Post-Event) are the reports to run right after your event ends. Most of these saved reports are for “TODAY” so be sure to change to “YESTERDAY” if you are past midnight or running these reports the next business day.
Purpose: The report shows stands that do NOT have sales from POS. Resolve with POS or Yellow Dog support.

Frequency: Anytime during the event or when it ends.

Purpose: The report shows sales that are outside of the event start to end time range. Fix your event times to include.

All the reports with the abbreviation PEM (Post-Event Margin) are the reports to after an event to gauge your ingredient consumption and your Reorder, PAR, and Max Levels.
Purpose: The report shows any recipes above their target cost percentage.

All the reports with the abbreviation ALR (Alerts) are the reports to run to check for system issues. Recommended you run these the day before your event to allow time for investigation and correction.
Purpose: The report shows actions that should be addressed.

Purpose: The report shows inventory items received but have never been on a physical/counted.

Frequency: At least once per month.

All the reports with the abbreviation GLR (General Ledger) are based on your GL accounts in Yellow Dog. Most of these will be helpful to run right after you close your month.
Purpose: The report shows the summary of committed invoices by GL code
