If you get the following error, please proceed with these steps:
Access to path is denied error means you'll have to run your application as an Administrator on your computer.
Once your Yellow Dog database is installed on your computer, follow the steps below to open or run your database.
1. To begin, locate the original Yellow Dog Inventory application file by going to the File Explorer on your computer.
2. Select This PC, then Local Disk (C:).
3. Open the Program Files folder.
4. Scroll down and open the YellowDogInventory folder.
5. Find the application YDInv and right-click the YDInv application. Select Run as Administrator.
6. If prompted with the message, "Do you want to allow this app from an unknown publisher to make changes to your device?" Click Yes. Your database will open and prompt you to login in.
7. You can create a new shortcut for the YDInv application by right-clicking and selecting “Create shortcut” to add a new shortcut to your desktop.
