How To: Add Existing Items to a Matrix

 

You can add existing items to a matrix after it is created, which simplifies ongoing item management.

 
  1. Permission to view and edit Matrices
  2. Item(s) to already exist in Yellow Dog
 
Add items to an existing matrix
  1. Go to Item Management > Matrices.

  2. Open the matrix you want to update by double-clicking it

                                     - OR - 

Add items while creating a new matrix (optional)
  1. Select Create New Matrix.

  2. Enter the required information:

    • Description

    • Level

    • Vendor

    • Store assignment

    • Retail price

    • Vendor price

Select dimensions and assign existing items

      3. Select Select Dimensions, then choose the required sizes and colors.

      4. When prompted to create new items, select Do Not Create.

      5. Blank fields appear for each matrix item.

      6. For each blank field:

    1. Select the three-dot menu.
    1. Choose Select From Existing Items.

    1. In the item lookup window, select an item and click Select.

      7. Repeat this process for each item you want to add to the matrix

AlertNote: Some points of sale have limitations when using matrices. Review point-of-sale limitations on the Help site before creating a matrix.
