Yellow Dog/Springer Miller Integration Overview

This document will provide an overview of the Yellow Dog Springer Miller Integration 

Integration Approach 

This integration can be set up as a 2Way (pull sales and push items) or a 1Way (pull sales) 
  1. Sales – are pulled in from .txt files 
  2. Items – are pushed to a .txt file 
  3. Codes – Are created manually in Yellow Dog.  Click Here for steps on creating codes 

Requirements for items to push to PSMS

  1. Item must be set to Publish 

  1. Item must be available - this can be checked in the interface codes as of sync view. From this view, users can also quickly identify that Publish is enabled. 

  1. Menu Code
  2. Tax Type 
  3. Discount type 
  4. Transaction code


Item Management Best Practices: 

  1. Updates and edits to items should be made in Yellow Dog and allowed to push to Springer Miller. If updates are made directly in Springer Miller, it will be overwritten by Yellow Dog the next time the integration runs. 
  2. For F&B Clients utilizing this integration all recipes must be mapped in POS Item map for ingredients to deplete from inventory 

Limitations 

  1. Sales files are only provided once a day at the end of the day by default. Client can request additional sales exports from PSMS
  2. Yellow Dog does not receive accurate sales discount info for 1way setups 
  3. Springer miller does not provide employee information on transactions
