How To: Set up and Use Password Recovery
- Reduces admin workload: Users can reset their own passwords without contacting an admin.
- Enhances security: Users must verify their identity using security questions.
- Saves time: Users regain access to Yellow Dog quickly after forgetting their password.
Important: If password recovery is not configured, only an admin user with permission to edit employees can reset a user’s login password.
All client types should utilize the password recovery function.
Setup:
- Select Password Recovery on the top menu bar.
- Enter your current password and click OK.
- Select and answer two security questions.
- Click Save and Close.
Recovery:
1. Enter an incorrect password, then click Forgot Password.
2. Enter your employee number (username) then click OK.
3. Click OK on the pop-up.
4. Enter a new password, then click Save and Close.
