Summary

This document will review the new features added to Yellow Dog Inventory in v370.

Relative Date Ranges

In version 370, we’ve added the ability to create relative date ranges to be used in reporting. Users with this permission enable can create customized date ranges by defining the starting and ending date and create a description for this date range.

Once created, these date ranges will be available in Standard Reports wherever relative dates (such as “Yesterday”, “Last Week”) are options.

Users with access to reporting can then simply select a Relative Date Range to filter reports on instead of having to manually define the starting and ending date every time they want to run the report.

When editing or creating a new Relative Date Range user will need to relaunch Yellow Dog to see those changes or additions.

Arrival Log

This feature allows users to identify orders that have arrived and are now ready to be received in the system. Users can mark a Purchase Order as “Arrived” in the main Purchase Order screen.

A log of every time a specific purchase order has been marked as “Arrived” is available in the Purchase Order editor in the top right corner. Users can mark a Purchase Order as “Arrived” as many times as needed.

We have also created a new “Arrival Log” report that can be set up as a Send Saved Report to be emailed at a desired frequency to a select group. Contact your Implementation or Support Guide for additional details on configuring Send Saved Reports.

Additional Dimensions

Additional dimensions have added to allow users to create, assign and report on additional item attributes. Once you’ve used Dimensions 1-10, Dimensions 11-14 will become available and so forth as needed.

Additional dimensions are created the same way as the standard 10 Dimensions. Fill in the description and then add as many variations of that as needed.

Next assign items to the newly created dimensions by navigating back to the main inventory items screen. (You may have to log out of Yellow Dog to see the newly created dimensions appear). In the Classic View you can highlight items and right-click to set them to your new dimension(s).

Additional dimensions can also be added in the Item or Matrix editor.

Inventory and Matrix Items new “Item Dimensions” Tab

This new tab is where users will assign the additional dimension fields to a specific item either when creating or editing an Item or Matrix.

The Retail Details screen will still allow users to set the first 10 Dimensions, however for sites that use more you will have to navigate to this new tab to set them.

Assigned Recipe List added to F&B Details Tab

Users can now see all Recipes an Inventory Item is a part of.

This list found under the “How is the item used in Recipes” section, allows users to directly open every recipe the item is tied to.

If the item is only assigned to one recipe, clicking on the list will directly open the recipe. If the item belongs to multiple recipes, they will receive the following popup to choose what recipe to open:
