What's New: Count XL

4/16/26 Count XL v5.3

Submit Button on First Screen: Added a submit button directly on the first screen to streamline the workflow and reduce extra steps during counts.
Enhanced Search Functionality: Introduced a new search feature with a floating magnifying glass icon. Users can now search by SKU, EPC and Description. This improves speed and flexibility when locating items.
Older Android Device Notification: Added a notification on app launch for older Android devices to inform users of potential compatibility issues.
Device Clock Out-of-Sync Alert: Added a new alert on app launch when the device time is out of sync with server time. The alert notifies users of the time difference, explains potential data inconsistency risks and provides guidance to correct device date/time settings.
Token Handling Issue: Resolved an issue related to token handling that could impact session stability and authentication.
Update Support Link: Fixed Support Link behavior for phone/email actions


2/5/26 Count XL v5.2.1

RFID scanning support: for EPC‑encoded tags to power RFID inventory workflows in YD Inventory.
New Supported devices: Zebra TC22 with Sled and Zebra T22R.
*Barcode scanning continues to work on all existing devices.
Clearer RFID visibility: EPC‑scanned items show an RFID icon in the session list and have non‑editable quantities.
Session summary search: so you can find counts faster.
Improved Create Session button: for a smoother start.

General Fixes
  1. Stability improvements for sessions.
  2. Resolved an in‑app browser error.
  3. Improved reliability when initializing downloaded databases.

Enhanced Login Flow: Fixed internal team member login functions for better client support (there are no changes for the customer login flow).

Android Compatibility: File saving now works seamlessly on Android 13 and newer devices.  
No More Accidental Overwrites: Each file now gets a unique “fingerprint” so files with the same name won’t replace each other.
Clearer Error Messages: If saving doesn’t work, you’ll get a more helpful message explaining why.
Better Performance: Yd Scanner and Yd Calculator have been upgraded to their latest versions for smoother, more reliable use.

URL Fixes: Fixed all misspellings of “shepherd” in environment links so everything points to the right place.
Session Item Improvements:
  1. Improved how session items are managed so they’re clearer and more reliable.
  2. Made scanning work faster and more smoothly.
  3. Screens now behave better when you return to a session.
Code Cleanup:
  1. Removed extra, unused code to keep things tidy and efficient.
  2. Combined and organized utility code for easier maintenance.
Calculator Updates:
  1. The calculator now starts up correctly whether you’re working with a brand-new item or editing an existing one.
  2. Numbers update instantly as you change quantities for a smoother experience.
  3. Fixed calculator issue where it wasn’t starting correctly after editing a session item.

5/15/25 Count XL v5.0.1

Enhanced Internal Login Ability (does not effect client login flow): This update is part of ongoing efforts to improve user authentication reliability and streamline debugging.

New Login Experience (Preparing for OAuth): We’ve updated the login screen to support a new, secure sign-in method. While the process won’t change much for you right now, this update lays the groundwork for future OAuth login support.
