Quick Reference: Laser Scanner on the 602 Pistol Grip
End user · Yellow Dog Inventory 2026
WHY IT'S IMPORTANT
If the laser
scanner will not read when the pistol grip is attached to your 602, the most
common cause is that the Scan Handle setting is turned off. This quick reference shows where to confirm that setting
so the pistol-grip trigger can fire the scanner.
Caution: The 602 has been sunset
by the manufacturer. Yellow Dog provides limited support for this device, and
a Yellow Dog sunset of the 602 is coming soon. Plan for a replacement device
to avoid an interruption. |
WHERE
From the Home screen: Settings > Docking Station > Scan Handle.
HIGHLIGHTS
• Open Settings from the Home screen, then select Docking
Station.
• Locate the Scan
Handle entry near the bottom of the Docking Station list.
• Make sure Enable
Scan Handle is checked. When checked, the pistol-grip trigger fires
the laser scanner.
Note: The on-screen toggle label
reads Disable Scan Handle — that is
the action the toggle performs, not its current state. A checked box means
the scan handle is enabled. |
