Yellow Dog/Spot On(Appetize) Integration Overview

Yellow Dog/Spot On(Appetize) Integration Overview

The document will provide an overview of the Yellow Dog Spot On(Appetize) integration

Integration Approach

The integration between Yellow Dog and Spot On (Appetize) can be configured to be a 1Way (sales pull only) or 2Way (sales pull and item push)
  1. Sales – pulled from the Spot On API
  2. Items – pulled from the Yellow Dog API

Requirements for items to be picked up by Spot On(Appetize)

  1. Item is Active = NOT removed
  2. Item is available to the store
  3. Item is not POS Blocked - this can be checked in the interface codes as of sync view. From this view, users can also that the item is available to the store in question.

Limitations

  1. Spot On picks up items from the Yellow Dog API – meaning Yellow Dog does not have any influence on the item pick up.
  2. Items are not store specific – all items will be picked up by Spot On regardless of the store assignment
  3. Spot On (Appetize) only supports one barcode per item
  4. Special characters are not supported
  5. Item names have a limit of 200 characters
  6. Matrix Items will appear as individual items in Appetize. There is no Matrix presentation
  7. Images cannot be sent to Spot On (Appetize)
  8. The Yellow Dog feature ‘Merge’ is not support with this integration due to how items are pushed
