Tips & Tricks: Searching for Items

Finding your inventory item is easier than ever with the powerful search features on the Item Management \ Inventory Item screen.



Tip 1: Use AND to match multiple terms

Use AND to find items that include all the specified terms.
Info
Example:
Steak AND Organic
→ Returns items that include both “Steak” and “Organic”.

Tip 2: Use OR to match either term

Use OR to find items that include any of the specified terms.
Info
Example:
Flour OR Sugar
→ Returns items that include either “Flour” or “Sugar”.

Tip 3: Use the pipe (|) for exact matches

Use the pipe character (|) to find exact matches. This is helpful when searching for SKUs or UPCs.
Info
Example:
|019283
→ Returns only the item with the exact SKU or UPC 019283.
