WHY IT'S IMPORTANT
The search field on the Item Management > Inventory Items screen supports a couple of operators that narrow results faster than scrolling through the full item list. Use OR to widen a search across multiple terms, or the pipe character to jump straight to one exact SKU or UPC.

HIGHLIGHTS
• OR — match either term. Returns items that include any of the specified terms. Example: Flour OR Sugar returns items that include either “Flour” or “Sugar.”

| (pipe) — exact
match. Returns only the item with that exact SKU or UPC — helpful
when a broader search returns too many results. Example: |019283
returns only the item with the exact SKU or UPC 019283.
Note: You don’t need to type AND. Entering multiple words separated by a space already returns items that include all of them. Example: Steak Organic returns items that include both “Steak” and “Organic.” |
