Reporting Explained Physical Inventory Summarized by Store


Business Need: This report is helpful for users who want to view Physical Inventory data summarized to a single line per location. 

How it Works: The Physical inventory report Summary by Store will provide information on the Stores total on hand going into the Physical, the total counted, the cost of the items counted, the on hand for the store at the completion of the physical, variance cost, and quantity. The report provides a summarized line for each location and Physical selected






Generating the Report 

  1. Reports
  2. Standard Reports
  3. Physical Inventories
  4. Summary by Store – Committed (Select by Physical Inventory)
  5. Filters – Store and Physical 
  6. Generate 

Reading the Report: 



















Column Breakdown 

  1. The top of the report will display the filter options that were selected for the report. These filter options will be included if the report is printed or exported 
  2. Change Columns, Sorting & Grouping – This hyperlink will allow users to add or remove columns to the report, as well as where users can select sort by or group by options
  3. Store Code – will be the Yellow Dog store number the Physical occurred in
  4. Store Name – will be the name of the Yellow Dog store the Physical occurred in
  5. Previous On Hand – will be the on hand for the store going into the Physical 
  6. Item Counted Quantity – will be the quantity of Inventory items that were counted 
  7. Total Counted Quantity - will be the total of the inventory items counted as well as any related items 
  8. Related Counted Quantity – will be the quantity of child, or batch items that were counted. 
  9. Counted Cost  will be the cost of the items counted as of the effective date and time of the physical 
  10. New on Hand – will be the total on hand for the store as of the Effective Date of the physical once it has been committed 
  11. New on Hand Cost – will be the total cost of the items as of the Effective Date of the Physical once it has been committed. 
  12. Variance Quantity – will be the total quantity of variances for that store 
  13. Variance Cost – will be the total variance cost of the items for that store. 
  14. Save/Export/Print  will allow users to save a report as a template, export to PDF, CSV, or Excel or Print.
