Reporting Explained: Inventory Chart on Hand summarized by dimension.
Business Need: These reports are helpful for users who want a report to show on hand item totals summarized by dimension.
How it Works: An Inventory>Chart>On Hand by dimension report visually shows a summary of on hand totals by the dimension you have selected. For this example it is color. This report can be filtered by store, levels, or vendors a well.
Generating the Report:
Go to the Standard Reports section in Yellow Dog:
- Select Standard Reports
- Open the folder titled ‘Inventory’
- Open the folder titled ‘Charts’
- Select ‘On Hand by Color
- Select the date that you would like to run the report for and choose any filters that you would like to add
- Generate report
Reading the Report:
- Shows the filters used to produce the report’s data, including the date selected for the report.
- Chart Type: Select here to see the report appearing as a pie chart or bar graph.
- Data Types: Select here to choose which charts you would like to appear.
- Appearance: Allows users to change how the colors are appearing on the chart.
- Total on Hand: Shows the total on hand for the as of the date selected for the report visually in a chart.
- Total Cost: Shows the total cost on hand for the as of the date selected for the report visually in a chart.
- Total Retail: Shows the total retail on hand for the as of the date selected for the report visually in a chart.
- Total Sales: Shows the total as of the date selected for the report visually in a chart.
- This row allows you to save, export, print, or close the current report
