Reporting Explained: Inventory Chart on Hand summarized by dimension.

Business Need:  These reports are helpful for users who want a report to show on hand item totals summarized by dimension. 

How it Works:  An Inventory>Chart>On Hand by dimension report visually shows a summary of on hand totals by the dimension you have selected. For this example it is color.  This report can be filtered by store, levels, or vendors a well.

Generating the Report:

 

Go to the Standard Reports section in Yellow Dog:

  1. Select Standard Reports
  2. Open the folder titled ‘Inventory’
  3. Open the folder titled ‘Charts’
  4. Select ‘On Hand by Color
  5. Select the date that you would like to run the report for and choose any filters that you would like to add
  6. Generate report

Reading the Report:


  1. Shows the filters used to produce the report’s data, including the date selected for the report.
  2. Chart Type: Select here to see the report appearing as a pie chart or bar graph.
  3. Data Types:  Select here to choose which charts you would like to appear.
  4. Appearance:  Allows users to change how the colors are appearing on the chart.
  5. Total on Hand:  Shows the total on hand for the as of the date selected for the report visually in a chart.
  6. Total Cost:  Shows the total cost on hand for the as of the date selected for the report visually in a chart.
  7. Total Retail:  Shows the total retail on hand for the as of the date selected for the report visually in a chart.
  8. Total Sales:  Shows the total as of the date selected for the report visually in a chart.
  9. This row allows you to save, export, print, or close the current report
