Reporting Explained: Inventory Chart on Hand by Selected Dimension


Use this report to visualize on-hand inventory totals by dimension. It helps you:

  • Compare inventory across categories (for example, size, type, or location)
  • Identify concentration of inventory value
  • Support purchasing and inventory balancing decisions

Standard Reports > Inventory > Chart


The On Hand by Dimension chart displays a visual summary of inventory based on a selected dimension.

  • Data reflects inventory values as of the selected As Of Date
  • You can display results as a pie chart or bar graph
  • Only one dimension can be selected at a time

Generate the report

  1. Go to Reports > Standard Reports
  2. Open Inventory > Charts
  3. Select On Hand by Selected Dimension
  4. Select:
    • As Of Date
    • Dimension
  5. Apply filters as needed
  6. Click Generate   

Filters

  • As Of Date (Required)
    Defaults to current date/time. You can select a specific date, previous end of day, or previous end of month
  • Stores (Optional)
    Includes all stores by default
  • Levels (Optional)
    Filters by item level
  • Vendors (Optional)
    Filters by vendor
  • Dimension (Required)
    Select one dimension (for example, size or color)
