Troubleshooting: How do I restart the Print Spooler?

A windows 10 update was released in October 2019 that has caused Printer Spooler to stop running after printing a large quantity of labels. This issue can be resolved by restarting the Print Spooler. 

**As a note: Admin rights will be required to complete this task. If you do not have admin rights on your PC, please contact your IT for assistance**





  1. Navigate to the Windows Start Menu, type in Services, and click on the Services App

 


  1. Navigate to Print Spooler: Confirm Status is Running, and Startup Type is Automatic. 


  1. If status is blank: Right Click and select Restart 


  1. If startup type is Not Automatic: Right Click and select Properties: 


Select Automatic in the Startup Type dropdown: 



Select Apply:
