Yellow Dog/Jonas File Exchange Overview

This document will provide an overview of the Yellow Dog Jonas File Exchange Integration 

Integration Approach 

This is a 2Way integration – pull sales and push items 
Sales – pulled from a file 
Items – pushed to .csv file 
Codes – Inserted into Yellow Dog database. Contact Support for assistance

Requirements for items to push to Jonas 

  1. Items must have Publish set

  1. Items must not be POS Blocked – the interface codes as of last sync view can be used to quickly confirm Publish is set, and that POS blocked = no

  1. Items must have Jonas Area code assigned 
  2. Items must have Jonas Category code assigned 

Item Management Best Practices 

  1. Any updates/edits that are needed should be made to items in Yellow Dog and allowed to push over to Jonas. Any edits made directly in Jonas will be overwritten the next time the sync runs. 

Limitations 

  1. Sales are provided once a day after the end of day has been initiated in Jonas 
  2. UPCs are not pushed to Jonas
  3. 8 Digit SKUs are recommended 
  4. Only Yellow Dog SKUs are pushed to Jonas, no UPCs 
  5. Jonas locations cannot have the same Revenue Center Code
  6. Discounts are sent rolled into the retail price and cannot be seen separated out.
