How Do I Use Count Sheets in my Physical?

When using Count Sheets to perform your physical inventory, first select and print the Count Sheet you will be using and count your items.

Once you have counted your items, return to Yellow Dog, navigate to Sessions and choose to create a new Session.

Choose the store that you will be creating your Session for.

Choose the option to select from other options and add items from a Count Sheet and choose your Count Sheet.

Select to include all items from your Count Sheet

Name your session and add in your counts into the gold fields and save and close.

Navigate to the Physical Inventory section in Yellow Dog and select to “Create New Physical”

Choose the store for your physical.

If you are performing a cycle count, rather than adding all active items for your store, as you would for a full physical, choose “Select from other options.”  Choose to add your items from a session, select your session and add all items from that session.

Next, select to add your counts to your physical, select the session you created from your Count Sheet and add all items.

The Physical Inventory Editor will now open and you will be able to see, edit, and commit your count.  Make sure to choose your effective date and time and commit your physical when you feel confident in the quantity counted.
