If you have created a session in Count Retail and would like to remove it from the device you can either upload and finalize your session to bring it into Yellow Dog for use or, if it was made in error, you can discard your session from the Session Management area of Settings.
Once a session is deleted from Session Management, it will be removed permanently from the device and will not be able to be uploaded to Yellow Dog for use in your system.
Bringing your session into Yellow Dog:
If you plan on using your session in Yellow Dog for a physical or other document, you will want to first upload the session into your database.
From within your session select the cloud icon:
Select Upload to send your session to Yellow Dog if you plan on adding additional counts or items to the session and have not completed your counts.
Select to Finalize your session to upload your counts into Yellow Dog and remove the session from your Sessions screen in Count Retail:
A pop up will appear to let you know that when “Finalized” your session will be uploaded to Yellow Dog and no longer editable on your handheld scanner. If you are still working on your session you will want to complete your session and counts prior to selecting “Yes” to Finalize.
Once you have confirmed that your session is now appearing in Yellow Dog, you can remove your session from the handheld permanently.
Navigate to the Settings tab of Count Retail:
Select “Session Management”:
If you have not yet finalized your session from the Sessions tab you can so here by selecting the blue cloud icon. If the icon is greyed out, the session has already been finalized to Yellow Dog and cannot be re-uploaded
Select the session you wish to remove from your handheld on this screen and choose the trash icon. Once you have removed your session here, you will not be able to restore it and upload it into Yellow Dog if you have not already done so.
You will see your session no longer appears on the device.
