Feature Overview: Retail Price Fields

Yellow Dog offers 3 different retail price fields (Default Retail, Current Retail, Starting Retail) in the item editor to provide different retail price tracking functions.

Three Retail Price fields are available on the Retail Details tab of the Item Editor:
  1. Default Retail : price is used when new stores are added to an item’s availability. The Default Retail will be set as the newly assigned store’s Current Retail for the item.
  2. Current Retail: the item's retail price for the store. If items are pushed to the point of sales, the Current Retail price will be sent to the POS.
  3. Starting Retail: the Starting Retail is used for comparison purposes in reporting and label printing. For example, this field is useful during product markdowns. The Starting Retail can be added to item labels so the original price (starting price) can be compared to the current price.
